    Description:
This is my first complete desktop skin and at this time is only for 1024x768. I looked around and even though I found many beautiful skins, they just didn't do what I wanted, so I made "Desktop Flight". I am a FS lover so this skin just seemed liked the perfect thing to do. The air strip is Peter Prince Field Airport in Milton, FL. The icons are fictitious buildings. The cockpit is fictitious also but it sports lots of working gauges, lights and switches instead of icons. The ram meter, cpu meter and net work traffic are represented by the airspeed indicator, rate climb indicator and the artificial horizon gauge.

hmm...Its a cool idea but it is very cluttered. I hate it when i have to look at a readme just to figure out what all the buttons do ya know? Air buffs would like it though. Too complicated for me.

Thanks for downloading my skin. I have to admit that I am a little dissapointed that no one is commenting on this. I would love some feed back, good, bad, or indifferent. Since this is my first skin it would be really nice to know what you guys/gals love or hate about this skin. Please make the comments worthwile and revelent.
    Thank you.

There's definitely a lot of detail here, and I can tell you've invested a lot of effort, Dutch. The graphics look great, and are well-rendered. It does seem like a lot of desktop elements to present to a user at once, however.

I'd recommend maintaining 3-4 discrete (smaller) screen areas to group 2-7 related shortcuts/items. Screen edges are nice to hit, because your mouse stops at them when you give it a shove, whereas shortcuts toward the screen middle are more easy to miss, simply because the mouse can travel beyond them.

Interesting theme for your first! :)

It gets a 5 for the graphic detail... it also gets a 5 for the fact whenever this skin tries to open the Aston CPU meter plug-in Aston.exe decides to crash...every time. I do not know why it does it. I have re-downloaded the plug-in directly from this website 5 times and reloaded it in there to make sure the file was not corrupt and it still crashes. perhaps you should take a look at it. I'm fresh outta ideas. But anyway even without the CPU and RAM stuff it still looks very good. could use a bit more work on your cursors though ;-)
Good luck and welcome to the world of skinning. Not bad for your first shot!

Thanks for the very nice Theme, It's my first time with ASTON, I rate with 9 becasue (sorry for my ignorance) I don't read in the help how we can enable the CPU, Net and Memory indicators (I have 3 empty slots).

Its a good idea, works really well, and is a cool idea to set the gauges up the way you did but it is a little to much for me I would like to see something else from you at some point maybe a little more simple

I have found that if you have configured a dynamic disk on your system the drive meter plugin will crash.
